The Sandwich Spot - Palm Springs, CA

We stopped here for lunch, on our drive to the coast. Parking on the street was easy on a Sunday afternoon. We immediately were greeted by the staff when we walked in, and the cashier was super friendly and helped us navigate their extensive but unique menu. I had to try the Dutch crunch bread and I was not disappointed! It was crunchy and just slightly sweet and so soft inside! Sooo good. I got the “it’s a dry heat” and the chicken was so flavorful and tender. I can’t wait to come back here!

nothing better than the combination of my two favorite things, tennis & sandwiches!! plus they have gluten free bread! you cannot miss this place - it's amazing! I had the djokovic on gluten free bread and will be back soon

Flight attendant here on an overnight searching for a good sandwich spot. WOW! Just WOW! Everyone in the area recommended this place, so I walked over. Not only was the sandwich delicious and beautiful beyond my wildest dreams, but the staff was sooooo friendly. I don’t think I’ve ever seen customer service this fantastic in a long time (and I am in the customer service industry!!). Above 5 stars. ps - This was the Chairman of the Board sub.

Sandwiches are great, service is very friendly! Sandwiches are now at $14.25 which is my threshold before going to other nearby spots. Avoid peak times like 12noon as there's quite a line.

This was a spot that my friend found highly reviewed online and wanted to try. The line can get long, but I felt that even despite the line the food didn't come too slow. But of course, I was on vacation time! I had The Serve and Volley, which I thought was fantastic. If you like melty cream cheese, this is a great choice for you. I could only eat half a sandwich at a time. You can definitely share if you have someone with similar tastes or save the other half for later! I thought the cashier was friendly, which is awesome given the constant line of customers. This was definitely a great first stop on our trip!

The Sandwich Spot in downtown Palm Springs is tucked away in a small shopping alley. It’s a simple shop with misters for outdoor seating, and a few indoor tables. They have free water available as well. The sandwiches are pretty tasty overall. I ordered “The Djokovic,” which was essentially a turkey-bacon-avocado, and got it on rye. Everything was very fresh and delicious. The cashier was extremely friendly and personable, even going so far as to say it was “nice to meet” me. Although perhaps not the greatest sandwich I’ve ever had, it was in the upper echelons, was flavorful, and used high-quality ingredients. I recommend this spot for quick lunches or road meals when heading out of Palm Desert.

I had my 1st (of many to come) sandwiches there today. The #16, "Serve and Volley". I substituted chicken as I'm personally not a fan of turkey. The warm cream cheese and chicken paired beautifully with the avocado, banana peppers, and veggies. The oil and vinegarette was not overpowering, and their signature onion crunch bread was perfection!! Everything tasted fresh, and homemade and this was definitely the sandwich I didn't know that I needed in my life. Price point is VERY FAIR for what you get. I'll definitely be back. This sandwich KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK!! Thank you for an amazing lunch, and another restaurant to add to my YUM list
